How does the IonCleanse System works?
The IonCleanse by AMD’s device results in biocompatible electrical frequencies entering the water. Biocompatible frequencies elicit a relaxation response in the body. Concurrently, the electrical frequencies create an ionic field that possibly cleanses and purifies the body through the supportive power of ions.
The array is placed in the water with the hands, feet, or other body parts. When turned on, the control unit delivers a clean, filtered current to the array. The IonCleanse process ionizes the water, as H20 is split into OH- and H+ ions. These ions attract and neutralize oppositely charged toxins, this is done because the current causes the array metals, in combination with the water and salt to generate positively and negatively charged ions. These ions then may draw out opposite charged toxins from the body and deposit them into the water.
Let’s get a little more technical!
For the purpose if this discussion, positive and negative relate to electrical, rather than chemical phenomena. The IonCleanse has a dual polarity feature, meaning it switches from a +ve to a –ve current during treatment. When the IonCleanse machine is set on positive, the current flows to the positive pole in the array, which results in more negative ions being produced in the water [4 H20 + 4e ---- 2H2 + 4OH-]. In this polarity hydrogen gas ‘smokes’ from the array, and an abundance of negatively charged ions are left in the water. Therefore, positive polarity generates a negative ion concentration. Additionally, when the IonCleanse machine is set on negative, the current flows to the negative pole in the array, which results in more positive ions being produced in the water [H20 ---- O2 + 4H+ 4e]. In this polarity oxygen gas is released from the water, and an abundance of positively charged ions are left in the water. Therefore, negative polarity generates a positive ion concentration. This process is known as the electrolysis of water and the footbath uses the concept of using ionization.
Detoxification Support:
It seems that we need some kind of detoxification support in this new era of industrialization, living on our polluted planet. There are two major types of “toxins”:
EXOGENOUS toxins (Toxicants or Xenobiotics):
These toxins can either occur from Ingestion: the mucosal surface of the GI tract is about 200x that of the skin surface, in a person’s lifetime over 25 tons of food is processed by the GI system, thus an enormous load of possible toxins (i.e. chemical, toxic metals, pesticides, hormones, BPA, mold toxins, food additives, solvents, microbes and by-products, fertilizers, drugs, etc)
These toxins can also occur from Inhalation (environmental): the lungs have the greatest exposure of any organ to the environment. The air we breathe contains dust, chemicals, pollutants, gases, microbes, small particles, and liquid aerosols!
ENDOGENOUS toxins:
They can occur from the SKIN through either i) Active (injections) processes: Rx drugs; Recreational drugs; Animal toxins (bites or punctures). ii) Passive: substances that are both water and fat soluble are more easily absorbed through the epidermis, especially if not intact and through the hair follicles. For instance, drugs; cosmetics; chemicals; radiation, etc.
Produced in the Body: a) Physiologically: bilirubin; ammonia; uric acid; lactic acid; creatinine, etc --- become ‘toxic’ if in excess. b) Under abnormal conditions: production of waste products (CO2, peroxide, free radicals, etc); hormones and/or neurotransmitters; microbial debris; pH imbalances).
Stored in the Body: Originally from external origin but introduced into the body where they are stored and become a continuous source of ‘toxic’ release. For instance, dental materials, medical implant, microbes, etc.

What does the Different Colours of the Water or Particles Released mean?
As the chart shows, some of the released products have been correlated to influence acupuncture meridians in the body; this is based on EAV testing (Electro Acupuncture according to Voll).
